About Telluride

Telluride occupies one of Colorado's most dramatic settings—a Victorian mining town nestled at the end of a box canyon, surrounded by 13,000-foot peaks on three sides. The town's isolation preserved both its architecture and its character, creating one of America's most authentic mountain communities.

The National Historic Landmark District encompasses downtown's original buildings, now housing world-class restaurants, galleries, and boutiques. A free gondola connects Telluride to Mountain Village, making it one of the few ski towns accessible without a car.

Beyond skiing, Telluride hosts legendary festivals—Bluegrass in June, Film in September, Blues & Brews in September. The 365-foot Bridal Veil Falls, Colorado's tallest free-falling waterfall, punctuates the canyon at town's end.
